Guided Field Tour - Autumn Splendor
Saturday, October 2, 10am–12pm

As the growing season winds down, participants will explore portions of the Davis Lake Overlook including the prairie fen during a 1-mile hike along a family friendly and low intensity trail network. Expect to see showy late blooming wildflowers including fringed gentians and fall asters as well as a host of migrating bird species. Meet at the Davis Lake Overlook parking lot (8371 Eaton Rd, Davisburg, MI 48350).

Join staff from the Natural Resources Program to learn more about our natural heritage and what actions we take to protect and preserve it. Participants
are strongly encouraged to bring sturdy hiking footwear, extra water, snacks, insect repellent and rain gear (if necessary). Cameras, binoculars, and a sense of adventure are also highly recommended. Contact Mike Losey, Natural Resources Manager at 248-846-6508 or mlosey@springfield-twp.us for more information or to register for this event. Registration encouraged but not required.
