Our Fire Prevention Program has been a great success. Each year we have contact with over 2,000 children, including all of the schools in the township and also the 4-H fair. We have a newly remodeled Fire Safety House (smoke house). The Fire Safety House travels throughout the township and to other special events. The Smoke House allows us to simulate a bedroom and a living room filling with smoke. We then teach the children and adults how to safely exit this kind of environment. The Fire Safety House has been a very effective tool in teaching fire safety. We are developing new programs for our seniors in the township including vials of life, cooking safety, fire proofing their house for grandchildren and health checks. As we are looking forward to another great year, we also look forward to your support. If anyone is interested in donating towards fire prevention or are special equipment fund contact Station #2 during business hours. We would like to give thanks to all that have supported our programs.
