|SPECIAL NOTICE REGARDING CORONAVIRUS
Parks & Recreation Office CLOSED Effective March 16, 2020
Recognizing the Oakland County Emergency Declaration and actions taken by Governor Whitmer and President Trump in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Township Board and the Park Commission has CLOSED all offices and the Building Department. This action was taken to protect Township staff, the public and help contain the spread of COVID-19. The closing will be effective Monday, March 16 through Sunday, April 5. Prior to April 5, the situation will be reassessed to determine when Civic Center offices, including the Parks and Recreation Department can reopen. The Park Commission has also made the decision that the Hart Community Center is also closed to the public, canceling all private and community based rentals.
In addition, all Springfield Township Parks and Recreation hosted events and programs are suspended until further notice.
Registration for future programs, athletics and events may be completed on-line at www.stpr.us. If you have questions you may contact our Department at (248) 846-6558 or by email at email@example.com please allow 24-48 hours for a reply.
The situation is rapidly changing and Springfield Township officials, staff, and emergency personnel are working diligently to maintain essential services and provide up to date information to keep residents safe and informed. Please make sure to keep checking the Township website for updates. In addition, Springfield Township Parks and Recreation will communicate via e-blast, e-mail, social media, and website when we have updates.

Advertisement Space Available Just For You!
Springfield Township Parks and Recreation has space available in our brochures for advertising. Currently, we distribute our brochures to over 16,000 homes twice a year in parts of Independence Township, Rose Township, Springfield Township and White Lake Township. For seasonal or part-time employment, please call or stop by our office for an application. We are currently accepting applications for a Ball Site Supervisor, Ball Coordinator, T-Ball Umpires, Baseball Umpires, Softball Umpires and Seasonal Maintenance Staff. Friends of the Parks and Recreation Group
The mission of Friends of the Parks is to support Springfield Township Parks & Recreation (STPR) by celebrating and enhancing our treasured park properties and quality program and events that strengthen our community.
Join! A family membership is $25.
Participate! Attend Friends of the Parks events and have great fun while you support STPR.
The group meets at the Springfield Township Civic Center at 6:30 pm (lower level conference room).
